The Spotlight Initiative is strategically placed to accumulate knowledge and information on violence against women and girls (VaWG). Since its inception in 2019, there has been a wealth of knowledge developed on ending VaWG (E-VaWG), including research, capacity building tools, mainstreaming tools, policies and policy briefs, guidance documents and more.

Given that the Initiative will come to an eventual close, it will be the legacy of the Programme to inform effective programming and policies on EVAWG in Malawi beyond its closure. It is therefore important for the Malawi Country Programme to cultivate new and existing knowledge, identify lessons learned, promote innovation, and build the evidence base on E-VawG under all six pillars.
